Vertical 20U cable organizer

The StarTech CMVER20UF is a vertical cable manager designed for server racks of 20U or greater. It mounts on the front or rear rack rails and runs the full height of the enclosure to route patch cords and trunk cables alongside active equipment. The steel-and-plastic frame adds structure without consuming any horizontal mounting units. Network administrators and data-centre technicians use it to keep dense cabling orderly and accessible.

Zero-U mounting constraint

Because the organizer occupies zero rack units, it fits only on the vertical rails at the side of a cabinet that provides 20U of usable height or more. The finger ducts guide cables vertically, but the unit cannot be installed in shorter racks, wall-mount brackets or open-frame stands that lack continuous 20U vertical posts. Cable capacity is limited by the duct spacing and the depth between the organizer and the equipment rail.

Check rack rail depth and spacing

Verify that your rack has front and rear vertical rails spaced to accept the organizer’s mounting brackets and that the rail depth leaves enough room for cables to bend without exceeding their minimum bend radius. Confirm the cabinet width allows the organizer to sit flush against the rail without interfering with side panels or door closure. The package includes M5 cage nuts for standard square-hole rails; threaded or round-hole rails may require different hardware.
