Shielded Cat6a patch cable for 10 Gigabit links

This three-foot gray patch cord uses aluminium-polyester foil and a tinned copper braid to suppress EMI and RFI on 10 Gigabit Ethernet runs. The 26 AWG stranded copper conductors are UL rated and support up to 100 W Power over Ethernet. Molded strain-relief boots prevent snagging during installation or removal.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The fully shielded jacket eliminates electromagnetic interference without active cooling, so the cable runs silently and adds no measurable heat to a rack or desk. Power over Ethernet loads up to 100 W pass through the copper cores within the rated temperature range of the PVC jacket. No fan, pump or external supply is involved.

Upgrade path from unshielded Cat5e or Cat6

Installers replacing unshielded Cat5e or Cat6 patch cords gain alien-crosstalk immunity and headroom for 10 Gbit/s over the full channel length. The jump is worth it when cable trays run parallel to power lines, fluorescent ballasts or dense switch uplinks. Buyers needing longer runs, outdoor rating or non-PoE fibre should look elsewhere.
