Dual PowerovereSATA adapter for 2.5 drives

This adapter card converts two internal SATA ports into two external PowerovereSATA ports, combining eSATA data and USB power on each connector. It lets you run 2.5 inch SATA hard drives or SSDs outside the chassis without a separate power brick. The card targets users who need quick external access to bare 2.5 inch drives for backup, cloning or temporary storage expansion.

Two ports at SATA III 6Gbps

Each port delivers the full SATA III 6Gbps signal, so a single 2.5 inch SSD can saturate the link while a mechanical drive runs at its native speed. The design supplies both data and 5 V power through the eSATA cable, removing the need for an extra power adapter. Bandwidth is shared across the two ports by the host controller, so simultaneous heavy transfers on both drives will contend for the same upstream SATA connection.

Passive PCB with plug-and-play operation

The compact board draws operating power from the host USB connection and adds no active cooling, so it runs silently inside a desktop case. No drivers are required on Windows or Linux; the host simply sees two additional SATA devices. Power delivery is limited to what the USB port can supply, so 3.5 inch drives or high-current 2.5 inch models may not spin up reliably.
