37 mm HTC Kaesemann Circular Polarizer

This Schneider Optics filter screws onto a 37 mm thread and uses a high-transmission circular polarising foil. The Kaesemann construction seals the foil edges for added durability. Multi-Resistant Coating reduces reflections and repels water and oil. The filter is intended for camcorder operators who need to control glare on non-metallic surfaces.

Capacity and headroom

The polariser darkens skies, suppresses reflections on glass or water and increases colour saturation in daylight scenes. It provides roughly 1 to 1.5 stops of light reduction depending on rotation. The effect diminishes at extreme wide angles or when the light source is directly behind the camera. Users needing stronger neutral density or variable ND capability will need additional filters.
