USB-C PD converter cable with a 4.5 × 3.0 mm DC elbow plug, 1.5 m long
This cable converts a USB-C Power Delivery source into a 4.5 × 3.0 mm DC barrel plug for compatible Dell Asus and Lenovo notebooks. It replaces a lost proprietary charger when a PD power bank or wall adapter is available. The 1.5 m length gives desk flexibility without excess slack.
No active components mean the cable itself generates negligible heat during normal charging. Power draw matches the attached notebook's negotiated PD profile up to the adapter's supported limit. Operation is silent because there are no fans or moving parts.
The decoy resistor maintains a stable PD contract so voltage does not sag during prolonged charging sessions. Cable gauge handles continuous current without overheating the connectors. Users who need higher wattage than the PD source negotiates or a different barrel size should select another adapter.
No published specifications for this item yet.
Plug the USB-C male connector into a Power Delivery port on the laptop or charger, then insert the 4.5 mm outer / 3.0 mm inner elbow tip into the notebook's DC input; the centre needle must seat fully or charging will not start.
The spring-loaded centre needle can lose tension after many insertions; if the laptop stops charging unless the plug is wiggled, replace the whole 1.5 m cable as the tip is not serviceable.
The cable is rated for the Power Delivery contract negotiated by the source; sustained loads above 5 A will cause noticeable voltage drop along the 1.5 m length and may trigger the laptop's under-voltage protection.
