Adjustable 5.5×2.1 mm DC cable converts QC 3.0 USB input to 5 V–12 V at up to 1.5 A and 18 W over 100 cm
This cable converts a QC 3.0 USB source into a 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC output that can power routers, LED strips and similar 12 V devices. It is built for users who want to run networking gear or lighting from a QC 3.0 power bank or wall charger. The adjustable voltage lets you match the exact requirement of the connected equipment.
The cable only negotiates higher voltages when the USB host supports QC 3.0 at 12 V; a standard 5 V USB port keeps the output fixed at 5 V. Maximum output current is 1.5 A and peak power is capped at 18 W, so devices drawing more cannot be used. Voltage steps change in 0.2 V increments via the onboard button.
It removes the need for a dedicated 12 V wall wart when a QC 3.0 charger or power bank is already available. The jump is worthwhile for portable router backup or mobile LED lighting where a single USB-C or USB-A QC 3.0 source replaces multiple fixed bricks. It does not suit devices that need more than 18 W or a non-QC USB supply.

Press the button to step the output in 0.2 V increments from 5 V up to 12 V; the cable remembers the last setting so it starts at 12 V next time.
At 12 V the cable can supply up to 1.5 A, giving a ceiling of 18 W — enough for a typical 12 V router or LED strip under that limit.
Only QC 3.0 USB chargers or power banks that provide a 12 V QC 3.0 profile; a standard 5 V USB port locks the output to 5 V.
