Converts an M.2 Key A-E slot to accept NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes
This adapter converts a motherboard M.2 Key A-E slot into an M.2 Key M socket for NVME SSDs. It accepts PCIe-based NVME drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. The board measures approximately 91.8 mm by 22.4 mm and includes four mounting holes matched to those lengths. No extra power or drivers are needed for operation.
The male Key A-E connector plugs directly into the motherboard while the Key M socket hosts the NVME SSD. Four screw holes at 22x30 mm, 22x42 mm, 22x60 mm and 22x80 mm let you secure the drive at the correct position. The adapter supports Windows 10, Windows 11 and macOS without additional software. It does not support non-PCIe Key M SSDs.
The passive design relies on the motherboard and SSD thermal characteristics during extended transfers. No active cooling or supplementary power circuitry is present on the board. Performance stability depends on the host slot's PCIe lane allocation and the drive's own thermal throttling limits. Builders needing heatsink clearance or active cooling should verify physical space around the 91.8 mm board.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter measures 91.8 mm long and 22.4 mm wide, matching standard M.2 dimensions; verify your device's internal clearance before installing.
No additional power is required; the card draws what it needs directly from the M.2 Key A-E motherboard slot.
The board provides mounting holes for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 length NVME SSDs.
