Wii MotionPlus Adapter for Wiimote Controllers

This MotionPlus adapter adds precise motion sensing to compatible Nintendo Wii Remote controllers. It connects directly to the expansion port on the base of the wireless Wiimote for immediate use. The accessory is intended for Wii owners who want enhanced accuracy in supported games. Buyers needing a standalone controller or a Nunchuk attachment should look elsewhere.

Compact Passive Adapter With No Power Draw

The unit draws no external power and adds negligible weight to the remote during play. It operates silently with no moving parts or cooling requirements. Heat generation is effectively zero under normal gaming sessions. The small form factor keeps the controller balance virtually unchanged.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Motion Plus adapter onto my Wii Remote, and what step do people often get wrong?

Slide the adapter into the expansion port on the bottom of the Wii Remote until it clicks firmly; the step many miss is pushing it in fully so the latch engages, otherwise the sensor will not register motion correctly.

What maintenance or replacement will this Motion Plus adapter need over time?

The adapter has no moving parts or batteries; keep the connector contacts clean with a dry brush and replace the unit only if physical damage occurs or the Wii Remote no longer detects it.
