USB programming cable connects compatible Yaesu Vertex radios to a computer for configuration
This cable connects compatible Yaesu transceivers to a computer using an FTDI USB interface. It supports models such as the FT-1500, FT-1802, FT-1807, FT-1900R and FT-2800 for programming and configuration tasks. Operators can transfer memory channels and settings without removing the radio from the vehicle.
The USB connection requires a working FTDI driver on the host computer and a free USB port of the correct type. Some operating systems may need manual driver installation before the radio is recognised. The cable does not supply power to the transceiver, so the radio must be powered separately during programming.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable is listed for FT-1500, FT-1500M, FT-1802, FT-1802M, FT-1807, FT-1807M, FT-1900R and FT-2800 radios.
The FTDI chip creates a virtual COM port so programming software can talk to the radio over USB without needing a legacy serial port.
