Controls 3-pin and 4-pin PWM case fans manually via rotary dial, delivering up to 30 W from a 12 V supply with a 50 cm cable
This 12 V internal cable adds manual rotary speed control for small 3-pin or 4-pin case fans. It is built for builders who want a simple hardware knob instead of software curves. The 50 cm lead reaches most motherboard headers without strain. No driver or BIOS setup is required.
The unit passes up to 30 W through the PWM circuit so fan speed scales with the dial position. Voltage regulation spans 3 V to 12 V letting fans spin down to near-silent levels at idle. No active cooling or fan is present on the controller itself. Power draw is limited to the connected fans' rated current.
The single specification that decides fit is the small 3 / small 4P fan interface combined with manual rotary speed regulation. Buyers who need automatic temperature curves or software-addressable RGB control will not get those functions from this cable.
No published specifications for this item yet.
Plug the controller into a 12 V motherboard header, then attach each fan to the small 3-pin or 4-pin ports; the step people miss is setting the rotary knob before closing the case.
The unit has no user-serviceable parts; if the rotary potentiometer wears out or the 30 W limit is exceeded, the whole controller must be replaced.
The 30 W total power rating is the first limit; drawing more than 30 W across all connected fans will trigger thermal protection or shutdown.
