Ring Stick Up Cam Plug-In is a wired security camera that can be positioned on any flat surface or mounted to a wall both inside and outside the home. It connects to standard power outlets so there is no battery to recharge. The camera streams 1080p HD video and sends motion alerts directly to your phone or tablet.

Subscription Storage Limit

Live View is available at any time through the Ring app without a subscription. To record and store photos or videos you must add a Ring Protect Plan. That plan retains footage for up to 180 days before it is automatically deleted. Without the plan the camera only provides real-time viewing and two-way talk.

Motion Zone Constraints

Advanced Motion Detection lets you draw customizable privacy zones to ignore activity in specific areas. Audio privacy can also be toggled off when you do not want sound recorded. The camera handles routine monitoring well but it cannot distinguish between people, animals or vehicles without the subscription service. Buyers who need local storage or person detection without a recurring fee should consider other options.
