Large gusseted bags for mattress storage

These clear polyethylene bags measure 54 by 84 inches with a 7 inch gusset, providing full coverage for standard mattresses and box springs. The 1.10 mil thickness offers a balance of strength and flexibility for repeated handling. They are supplied perforated on a roll for easy dispensing in moving or storage operations.

1.10 mil thickness determines durability

The single specification that decides suitability is the 1.10 mil gauge, which resists tears from normal handling while remaining light enough to manoeuvre alone. Thinner films risk punctures from mattress edges; heavier gauges add bulk without proportional benefit for short-term protection. This thickness targets the sweet spot for dust and moisture defence during transit.

Covers queen and king sizes with headroom to spare

The 54 by 84 inch dimensions accommodate mattresses up to California king length with generous overlap for sealing. Bulkier pillow-top profiles fit within the 7 inch gusset expansion. The bags are not designed for compressed foam mattresses that exceed the gusset depth or for industrial wrapping that demands heat-sealable films.

Questions about this item

What do the 54 x 7 x 84 inch dimensions mean when the bag is on a mattress?

The bag measures 54 inches wide, 7 inches deep when gusseted open, and 84 inches long, sized to cover a standard mattress and box spring during storage.

What does the 1.10 mil thickness tell me about the bag material?

At 1.10 mil the polyethylene film is light-duty; it resists dust and dirt while vent holes allow air circulation, but it is not a heavy puncture-resistant liner.

How does the roll-perforated format affect fitting the bag over a mattress?

Bags tear off the roll at each perforation, so you pull one clear 54 x 7 x 84 inch bag, unfold the gusset, and slide it over the mattress without cutting.
