This black Mini-Com module provides a duplex SC connection for OS2 singlemode fiber networks. It is built for patch panels and wall plates in LAN, SAN and public network installations where bidirectional data paths are required. The zirconia ceramic split sleeves ensure precise fiber alignment for low insertion loss. Network engineers and installers deploying singlemode infrastructure will use this adapter to terminate or cross-connect duplex SC cables.

Sustained thermal performance

The adapter is rated for continuous operation up to 60 °C (140 °F) without degradation of the ceramic alignment sleeves or the polymer housing. This temperature ceiling covers typical equipment-room and cabinet environments where airflow may be restricted during extended duty cycles. No active cooling is required because the passive component generates no heat of its own. The specification ensures reliable mating performance throughout the operating range.

Installation notes
