Outdoor UV-rated Cat5E cable

This Nippon Labs cable is a Cat5E unshielded twisted pair designed for outdoor installations. The UV-rated CMX jacket protects the four solid bare copper pairs during direct burial or aerial runs. It arrives in a 1000 ft pull box with sequential length markings on the jacket. Installers can identify each pair by the colour-striped insulation.

Sustained 350 MHz data performance

The construction uses 24 AWG solid conductors to maintain excellent attenuation and crosstalk characteristics over long distances. It supports 350 MHz high-speed data applications including Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and 155 Mbps TP-PMD or CDDI. UL/cUL listing and ETL verification confirm consistent electrical performance under continuous load. RoHS compliance indicates restricted hazardous substances throughout the 1000 ft length.

Cat5E standard limits for outdoor use

The cable exceeds EIA/TIA 568 C.2 requirements for Category 5E transmission parameters. UTP shielding means it does not protect against external electromagnetic interference in noisy environments. The CMX rating covers ultraviolet exposure but not plenum or riser fire codes for indoor vertical runs. Builders who need shielded pairs, higher category bandwidth or indoor fire-rated jackets must select a different cable type.
