Armored Cat6A cable for rodent-prone runs

This Nippon Labs Cat6A patch cable uses a SUS304 stainless-steel armored jacket over a PVC layer to protect the four twisted pairs from rodents, moisture and UV exposure. The 5 ft length carries 28 AWG stranded bare copper conductors terminated with RJ45 plugs that have 50-micron gold-plated contacts. It is rated for outdoor use and meets IP65 water resistance.

Verify connector spacing

The armored jacket adds diameter compared with standard patch cables, so confirm that your keystone jacks, switch ports or wall plates accept the larger boot. Ensure the minimum bend radius of the stainless-steel sheath suits the routing path you plan, especially in tight cable trays or conduit. The cable follows T568B wiring and is PoE compatible.

Passive cable produces no heat or noise

As an unshielded twisted-pair copper cable with no active components, it generates zero heat and emits no audible noise during operation. Power draw is limited to the PoE current carried by connected devices, not the cable itself. The IP65-rated jacket maintains performance in wet or dusty environments without degradation.
