This Cat6 patch cable measures one foot and uses 24 AWG stranded copper conductors in an unshielded twisted-pair construction. It is terminated with RJ45 plugs that carry 50 micron gold-plated contacts and a snagless boot to protect the locking tab. The PVC jacket follows the T568B wiring scheme and the assembly is UL and ETL verified to meet TIA/EIA-568-C.2 Category 6 requirements. Verify that the one-foot length reaches between your two RJ45 ports without tension; it is not intended for longer horizontal runs or in-wall installation. Confirm that the snagless boot fits the port density on your switch or patch panel, as very tight spacing can prevent the latch from engaging. The cable is unshielded, so avoid routing it parallel to power cables or fluorescent ballasts where electromagnetic interference could degrade performance.
