Monoprice Cat6 0.5 ft Patch Cable

This half-metre Cat6 patch cable uses 24AWG stranded pure bare copper conductors and RJ45 connectors to deliver up to 550MHz bandwidth. It meets UL 444 and TIA-568-C.2 fire-safety standards with a CMP plenum rating. The blue jacket makes it easy to identify in dense patch panels. It is built for installers who need reliable short runs in racks or wall plates.

Zeroboot Design for Dense Installations

The Zeroboot series omits the bulky protective boot over the retaining clip, letting connectors seat side-by-side in high-density switches and patch panels without interference. This saves time during moves, adds or changes where traditional booted cables would snag or block adjacent ports. It replaces standard booted Cat6 cords when cabinet space is tight and rapid re-patching is routine.

Capacity and Practical Limits

At 550MHz the cable comfortably handles Gigabit Ethernet and 10GBASE-T up to the Cat6 channel limit of 55 metres, so a 0.5 metre jumper adds negligible attenuation. It does not support 10GBASE-T at the full 100 metre distance that Cat6a provides. Buyers needing longer 10-gigabit runs or shielded protection from EMI should select a higher-category or shielded cable instead.
