Cat6 Keystone Jack for 22-24AWG Wire

The Monoprice 105385 is a yellow Cat6 keystone jack designed for terminating solid copper wire gauges 22 to 24. It uses a 110 type IDC termination method and a 90 degree connection orientation for installation into standard keystone wall plates or patch panels. A wiring diagram is printed next to the wire clips to assist with the punch-down process.

Upgrading from Cat5e or Older Jacks

This jack replaces Category 5e or lower-rated keystones when a network infrastructure requires certified Cat6 performance for gigabit speeds. The jump is worth it when existing cabling is being refreshed to support higher bandwidth demands or stricter certification testing. It is not for installers needing shielded connections or tool-less termination styles not offered by this 110 IDC design.

Sustained Installation Density

Under sustained deployment across multiple wall plates, the physical width of these RJ45 keystones prevents two units from sitting side-by-side in the same plate, requiring careful port layout planning. The yellow colour tone may vary between production runs and individual pieces, so matching existing faceplates or adjacent jacks exactly cannot be guaranteed. The 90 degree punch-down angle maintains consistent wire routing during high-volume termination sessions.
