Add motion sensing to any E26/E27 socket

This Meterk adapter screws directly into existing indoor light sockets and uses infrared detection to switch connected bulbs on when movement is sensed. Two sockets are included, each rated for a maximum load of 60W and compatible with standard E26 or E27 bases. They are designed for dry or damp indoor locations such as garages, basements, pantries and covered porches.

Replaces a wall switch

The socket installs without wiring and turns the light off automatically after a user-set delay of 10 seconds to 5 minutes if no further infrared movement is detected. The jump is worth it when you want automatic illumination in areas where a switch is inconvenient, provided the fixture points downward and has no shade or glass enclosure that would block the sensor.

Handles bulbs up to 60W within a 10ft detection

The sensor covers motion up to 10 feet away when mounted 8-10 feet high, and the lux threshold adjusts from 3 to 2000 lux so the light only activates when ambient conditions require it. It runs out of headroom with loads exceeding 60W, LED garage lights above that rating, heat lamps, or any installation that is horizontal, outdoors, exposed to rain or direct sunlight, or behind glass.
