100 ft Optical DisplayPort Cable

This 100 ft LUOM T0109 cable uses optical fiber to carry DisplayPort 1.4 signals over long distances without loss. It connects a DisplayPort source to a DisplayPort display in home-theatre, gaming, office or VR setups. The male-to-male connectors are directional and must be plugged with the Source end at the computer and the Display end at the monitor. It is not suited for runs shorter than the cable length where a passive copper cable would suffice.

8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz bandwidth

The link delivers 32.4 Gbps, enough for 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR. Both the source device and the display must support the target resolution and refresh rate for the cable to pass the signal. The optical construction maintains stability at the full 100 ft length where copper cables would degrade. It cannot add capabilities that the connected hardware does not already provide.

Low heat and silent operation

Optical transmission generates negligible heat and requires no active cooling, so the cable runs silently in normal use. Power draw is limited to the small amount needed for the electro-optical conversion at each connector. The double-shielded jacket protects the fiber cores from interference without adding bulk that would trap heat. There are no fans or moving parts to wear out.
