Driver support covers Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.12, Linux kernel 3.x and 2.6, and Chrome OS. Windows RT and Android are explicitly not supported. Buyers who need an Ethernet port on those excluded platforms should look elsewhere. The five-inch cable keeps the adapter compact for travel while reaching most laptop ports without strain.
