Apple G5 DDR 400 Kit

This Kingston KTA-G5400/2G kit supplies 2 GB of DDR 400 memory in a matched pair of 1 GB modules. It is built for Apple desktop systems that require 184-pin DDR SDRAM running at PC 3200 speed. The dual-channel configuration helps those machines run memory-intensive tasks more smoothly. No heat spreaders are fitted.

Suits listed G5 models only

The modules are validated for iMac G5 1.6 GHz, 1.8 GHz and 2 GHz units as well as Power Mac G5 models including 1.8 GHz Late 2004, Dual 1.8 GHz June 2004, Dual 2.3 GHz Early 2005, Dual 2.5 GHz June 2004 and Dual 2.7 GHz. Buyers with other Mac families or later Intel-based desktops cannot use this DDR memory. Systems that need higher capacity or a different pin count should look elsewhere.

184-pin DDR 400 interface

The decisive specification is the 184-pin DDR SDRAM interface operating at 400 MHz (PC 3200). Only Apple G5 desktops that accept this exact pin layout and speed will recognise the modules. If the target machine uses a different memory standard the kit will not fit or function.
