Four-by-four HDMI matrix for multi-room AV

The Jansicotek 4x4 HDMI matrix connects four source devices to four displays and lets any input be routed to any output independently. Each output also provides separate optical and stereo audio extraction for local sound systems. It is suited to installations such as home theatres, conference rooms or digital-signage walls where several sources must reach several screens at once.

HDMI 1.4 build with IR control and fixed cable

The unit complies with HDMI 1.4, handles 10.2 Gbps bandwidth and supports 3D formats plus 8- or 10-bit deep colour. Switching is performed by front-panel buttons or the supplied IR remote, with a 3–5 second settling time on each change. Input and output cable runs are each limited to eight metres when using AWG26 HDMI 1.4 cables, so rack or room layout must respect that distance.

Check source resolution

The matrix tops out at 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz with YUV 4:2:0 sampling; 1080p at 60 Hz is also supported but higher refresh rates or 4K at 60 Hz are not available. Switching is not seamless, so applications requiring instant cut-over should verify the delay is acceptable. Buyers needing HDMI 2.0 bandwidth, HDCP 2.2 or longer cable runs without active extenders will need a different solution.
