6.0 Gb/s interface ceiling

Each bay connects through a backplane rated for 6.0 Gb/s SAS and SATA I, II and III drives. The cage itself does not perform RAID; a separate controller is required for RAID 0, 1, 1+0 or 5 arrays. Transfer speed will not exceed the 6.0 Gb/s link regardless of drive capability.
