Singlemode Duplex BIF Patch Cable

This 2 m singlemode duplex fiber cable uses bend-insensitive G.657.A1 fiber and UPC-polished LC and SC connectors for low return loss. It is built for 40 G Ethernet links and longer runs in data centres, telecom rooms and desk-side cross-connects. The yellow jacket identifies OS2 9/125 µm fiber and the cable ships with a factory test report.

LC-to-SC UPC Connectors in a Build

The LC connector plugs into modern transceivers and patch panels while the SC end fits legacy equipment, letting the cable bridge generations without adapters. Its 2.0 mm duplex zipcord construction routes easily through tight trays and the bend-insensitive core tolerates sharp corners that would degrade standard singlemode fiber. OFNR rating permits installation in riser spaces.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Corning ultra-pure glass keeps attenuation low over the full 2 m length even when the cable remains bent around cable-management fingers for years. UPC end-face geometry maintains stable return-loss performance under continuous 40 G traffic, and the G.657.A1 design prevents micro-bend induced loss during thermal cycling or vibration.
