8 m LC duplex patch cable for data centres

This eight-metre aqua cable carries OM4 multimode fibre with LC connectors at both ends. It is built for interconnect and cross-connect work in entrance facilities, telecommunications rooms and data centres. The 50/125 µm bend-insensitive glass tolerates tight routing without excess loss. Each unit ships with its own test report.

OM4 bandwidth limits at 40 G and 100 G Ethernet

OM4 multimode fibre supports 10 G, 40 G and 100 G Ethernet over short to medium distances. The 2.0 mm jacketed duplex construction keeps insertion loss low for those speeds. Ultra Physical Contact ferrules improve return loss compared with standard polish. Distance reach depends on the active equipment and link budget, not on the cable alone.

Simple LC push-pull mating

The LC connectors use a push-pull latch that clicks into standard SFP, SFP+ and QSFP transceivers. Bend-insensitive fibre reduces attenuation when the cable is bent around cable managers or through dense panels. Clean the end faces before mating; contaminated ferrules are the most common cause of high loss. The OFNR jacket is rated for indoor riser runs.
