The ICY DOCK MB522SP-B fits a standard external 3.5-inch floppy bay and holds two bare 2.5-inch drives from 5 mm to 9.5 mm thick. It supports SATA 3.0 at 6 Gbps and SAS 3.0 at 12 Gbps with hot-swap capability. A tray-less, door-less mechanism lets you insert or remove drives quickly while they stay fully enclosed.

For hot-swap SATA SAS workflows only

This unit suits administrators repurposing unused floppy or 3.5-inch bays for dual 2.5-inch SATA or SAS storage with individual eject buttons and activity LEDs. It does not support drives thicker than 9.5 mm, M.2 form factors, or interfaces other than SATA and SAS. Builders needing more than two slots or different connectors should look at other enclosures.

Tray-less hot-swap with 12 Gbps SAS support

Each bay accepts a bare 2.5-inch drive and connects at up to 12 Gbps on a single SAS 3.0 channel or 6 Gbps on SATA 3.0. The metal body provides ventilation and the eject buttons include integrated activity indicators for immediate status feedback.
