Dual-port SFP28 10/25Gb adapter for HPE Gen10 Plus

This HPE P26262B21 network adapter uses the Broadcom BCM57414 controller to provide two SFP28 ports operating at 10 or 25Gb speeds. It is built for HPE ProLiant DL, ML and Apollo Gen10 Plus servers that need scalable Ethernet connectivity for hybrid cloud, mobile data or streaming video workloads. The adapter integrates with the server Root of Trust design to help prevent, detect and recover from firmware-level attacks.

Upgrades from single-port or lower-speed adapters

Adding a second 10/25Gb port replaces single-port cards and removes a bandwidth bottleneck when traffic grows beyond one link. The jump is worth it when workloads demand simultaneous high-throughput streams or when redundancy across two physical connections is required for service continuity. Compatibility is limited to HPE Gen10 Plus platforms, so existing Gen10 or non-HPE servers cannot use this card.

Sustained throughput with hardware offloads

Under continuous load the BCM57414 controller handles packet processing, checksum and segmentation tasks in hardware to keep CPU utilisation low. The adapter maintains line-rate performance across both ports during extended transfers typical of storage replication, backup windows or video ingest. Thermal design follows the server chassis airflow, so no additional cooling consideration is needed beyond the standard slot environment.
