Converts legacy AV gear to HDMI

The GINGIN adapter changes analog RCA composite signals into HDMI 720P or 1080P output at 60HZ. It accepts PAL, NTSC3.58, NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N sources from consoles such as N64, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3 or Xbox as well as VHS, VCR, DVD and set-top boxes. No drivers are required and the unit ships with 3.3ft RCA and HDMI cables plus a 2.6ft USB power lead. This is a one-way converter only; it cannot send HDMI back to RCA.

Steady output without frame drops

Once the USB power cable is connected to a 5V source the converter maintains a stable 60HZ signal during extended playback sessions. The built-in scaler handles the incoming composite stream continuously without buffering pauses or resolution switching. Because the device does not enhance the original picture, the output quality matches the source material rather than introducing artefacts during long viewing periods.

Cool silent operation from USB power

The compact enclosure draws only the 5V supply provided by the included cable and runs without a fan, so it adds no audible noise to a living-room setup. Heat remains low even when the converter is left on for hours while digitising tapes or retro gaming. The 18-month service period covers the unit itself, while the 30-day return window applies to the complete package.
