GCON
Converts 110V or 220V AC to 60V DC at up to 10A for drives, sensors, LED strips and automation gear
This GCON adapter converts 110 V or 220 V AC mains into a regulated 60 V DC output rated at 10 A and 600 W peak. It is intended for semiconductor drives, amplifiers, radios, LED strips, CCTV systems, car jacks and similar 60 V automation gear. The unit is not suitable for battery charging or speed-control motor applications.
An aluminium alloy enclosure with multiple ventilation holes and a built-in cooling fan provides forced-air cooling for stable operation. The supplier specifies a derating rule: continuous load must not exceed 80 % of the 600 W peak, so resistive equipment should stay under 8 A and 480 W. Over-voltage, under-voltage and over-temperature protections are included.
The compact housing measures 21.5 × 11.5 × 5 cm and weighs 0.75 kg, allowing installation in tight equipment cabinets. Input and output terminals accept standard wiring for AC mains and 60 V DC loads respectively. Because motor starting currents can far exceed rated power, the supplier advises that peak SMPS capacity should be at least twice the motor rating for such loads.

Connect the AC input to a 110V or 220V mains source, then attach the 60V DC output to your load. The step most often missed is applying the 80% derating rule: the continuous load must stay at or below 8A and 480W, not the peak 10A 600W rating.
The built-in cooling fan is the only moving part and will eventually wear out. Keep the aluminum alloy shell's ventilation holes clear of dust so the fan does not run hotter than necessary, which extends its service life.
The 80% derating limit is reached first: sustained output above 8A or 480W triggers the over-temperature or over-voltage protection, causing the supply to shut down until it cools.
