LinkIQ Cable + Network Tester Kit

The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Kit is a handheld electronic tester that validates copper cable performance up to 10GBASE-T using frequency-based measurements. It also provides IPv4 and IPv6 ping, nearest switch diagnostics with IP address, name, port or VLAN number and advertised data rates, plus Ethernet Alliance certified PoE verification that detects class 1-8 and runs a load test of available power. Results are managed and reports printed through LinkWare PC software, and an IntelliTone probe is included to help locate cables in bundles or walls.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Installers and technicians who commission, troubleshoot or document twisted-pair links up to 10GBASE-T and need PoE load testing will find the required functions in one instrument. Teams that only require basic wire-map or continuity checks, or who work primarily with fibre optic cabling, will not use the frequency-based performance or PoE features and should consider a simpler or fibre-specific tool instead.

Behaviour under sustained load

During extended commissioning sessions the LinkIQ runs repeated frequency sweeps, PoE load tests and ping sequences while displaying cable length, wire map and distance to open or short faults. The device maintains measurement accuracy across multiple cable runs, and LinkWare PC continues to log each result for later reporting without data loss during prolonged use.
