Field-Ready Power Adapter

This Fervit adapter converts an XT60 male connector to a 7.4x5.0 mm DC female jack for direct battery operation. It is built for pilots and technicians who need a TS100 soldering iron powered from a flight pack in the field. The moulded housing uses high-temperature resistant materials with solid insulation for reliable contact. No soldering or tools are required to put it into service.

Build Integration

The XT60 end plugs straight into any LiPo pack or power distribution board with a matching female socket. On the output side the 7.4x5.0 mm barrel accepts the TS100 iron tip without an intermediate cable. This removes the need for a bench supply or bulky inverter when working at the flying field. It also frees up a USB-PD charger for other devices while the iron draws from the main battery.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous heating cycles the connector pair maintains stable conductivity thanks to the high-temperature rated construction. The insulation resists softening even when the iron sits at operating temperature for extended repair sessions. Voltage drop across the adapter stays minimal so the TS100 reaches its set point quickly and holds it. The plug-and-play design means no degradation from repeated mating cycles in dusty conditions.
