Audio extraction for 4K sources

The ESTONE OZV8-1A takes a single HDMI 2.0 input and splits it into one HDMI video output plus separate digital optical and analogue 3.5 mm audio outputs. It handles 4K at 60 Hz with 18 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance, so protected 4K streams from a Blu-ray player, console or streamer reach the display while audio feeds a soundbar, amplifier or headphones. The box includes a USB power adapter, HDMI cable and optical cable for immediate setup.

HDMI ARC return path

The extractor also supports ARC, letting audio from a TV's internal apps travel back down the same HDMI cable to the optical or 3.5 mm ports without powering the TV speakers. This replaces a direct HDMI-to-receiver connection when the display lacks dedicated audio outputs or when the receiver cannot decode newer HDMI audio formats. The jump is worth it when the source and sink both support ARC and the installer needs both digital and analogue feeds simultaneously.

Sustained 4K60 operation

Rated for continuous 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at up to 144 Hz, the unit maintains signal integrity through extended viewing sessions without handshake drops. It passes Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and LPCM 7.1 bitstreams to the optical output while down-mixing to stereo on the 3.5 mm jack, though Dolby Digital Plus is not supported. The compact 5.59 by 3.15 by 1.26 inch enclosure runs from the supplied USB power adapter, drawing minimal current during prolonged use.
