Passive DP 1.2 to HDMI adapter

This passive adapter converts a DisplayPort 1.2 source to an HDMI 19pin female port, enabling connection to monitors, projectors or HDTVs. It supports video resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 30Hz and transmits uncompressed digital audio across 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channels. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and a latched DisplayPort plug secures the link. No driver or external power is required.

Sustained 4K 30Hz output

The adapter maintains a stable 3840x2160 signal at 30Hz for extended sessions such as video streaming, office work or mirrored presentations. Because it is a passive design, it relies entirely on the host's DP++ dual-mode output; signal integrity holds over typical cable lengths without active re-clocking. Audio remains synchronised over 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channel formats during continuous playback. The gold-plated contacts preserve consistent conductivity through repeated thermal cycles.

DP++ source requirement

A DisplayPort connector that supports DP++ dual-mode signalling is mandatory; a pure DisplayPort-only port will not produce an HDMI signal through this adapter. The HDMI 19pin female socket accepts standard HDMI cables up to their own length limits, but the adapter itself does not amplify or equalise the signal. Maximum supported timing is 3840x2160 at 30Hz; higher refresh rates or deeper colour depths are not possible through this passive pathway.
