18AWG conductors and 12 V DC rating
The cable uses 18AWG tinned copper wire rated for 12 V DC delivery. Two Molex sources combine to feed one PCIe connector, giving enough headroom for mid-range cards that draw up to the 8-pin specification limit. It will not suit high-end GPUs that require two or three dedicated PCIe cables from the PSU, nor cards needing 12VHPWR connections.
