Installation and common pitfalls

The riser cards are plug-and-play with no driver installation required. Gold-plated contacts on both ends help maintain reliable connectivity over repeated insertions. Four mounting holes on the 16x board allow the connector to be secured to a frame or motherboard tray. A surface-mounted fuse provides overcurrent protection if a short circuit occurs. The most frequent issue is insufficient PSU SATA connectors for all ten adapters, so verify spare leads before starting.

Confirm that your power supply has at least ten free 15-pin SATA power connectors for the included adapters. Ensure the motherboard offers ten available PCIe slots of any width — 1x, 4x, 8x or 16x — to accept the 1x adapter cards. Measure the 60 cm USB cable route inside your chassis to guarantee it reaches between each slot and the intended GPU position. The risers do not supply auxiliary GPU power cables, so the graphics cards themselves must still connect to the PSU via their native PCIe power inputs.
