Plug-and-play Android connection with fixed focus

The camera plugs directly into an Android phone or tablet using the supplied interface and requires no separate power source. Focus is fixed, so the clearest image appears only at the 3 to 10 centimetre working distance; moving closer or further away blurs the picture. The six LEDs dim to fully off, but bright reflections on wet metal can still wash out detail. Cable stiffness increases with length, making tight bends harder on the 10 metre version.

VGA resolution and short focal range limit detail

The 640 by 480 sensor provides basic orientation rather than fine defect detection such as hairline cracks or thread damage. The narrow 3 to 10 centimetre sweet spot means you cannot inspect a wide area without moving the probe constantly. Frame rate stays at 30 fps, but low light performance drops once the LEDs are dimmed. The IP67 seal covers the camera head only; the connector end must stay dry.

Not for users needing high-resolution stills

Buyers who want sharp documentation photos, measurement overlays, or the ability to inspect large-diameter pipes from a distance will find the fixed VGA sensor and short focal range insufficient. The single Android interface also excludes iOS, USB-C only, or wireless workflows.
