The Danby DIM2500SSDB is a freestanding unit that produces up to 25 lbs of ice per day while storing 2 lbs at a time. The spotless-steel cabinet and black lid with a see-through window fit on a standard countertop. Operation is handled through simple electronic controls with an LED display.

Self-clean cycle and full-bin alarm

A built-in self-clean function reduces the effort needed to maintain hygienic ice production over time. When the storage basket reaches its 2 lb limit, an audible alarm sounds so ice does not overflow or stall the machine. The included white scoop allows hygienic serving without touching cubes by hand. Environmentally friendly R134A refrigerant is used in the sealed cooling system.

Check counter space and power access

Verify that the installation surface can accommodate the unit’s footprint of 9 13/16" wide by 14 3/16" deep with 12 14/16" of vertical clearance. A standard household electrical outlet must be within reach of the power cord. The appliance only makes one cube size, so users who need multiple shapes or nugget ice should look elsewhere. No plumbing connection is required, but the reservoir must be filled manually.
