Five-pack Cat5e patch cables

This five-pack supplies five identical Cat5e Ethernet cables, each 7 ft long with RJ45 plugs on both ends. The blue PVC jacket covers unshielded twisted-pair copper-clad aluminium conductors wired to the 568B standard. They are rated for 350 MHz bandwidth and support data rates up to 1 Gbps. The bundle suits homes or small offices that need several short patch cords at once.

Suited for standard Gigabit links.

The cables work with any device that uses an 8P8C RJ45 port — PCs, routers, switches, VoIP phones, IP cameras, printers, game consoles and PoE endpoints running at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps. Builders who need shielded cable for high-interference environments, longer runs beyond the Cat5e distance limit, or higher power budgets than basic PoE allows should select a different cable type.

CCA conductors instead of solid copper

The conductors are copper-clad aluminium rather than bare copper, which keeps the cost low for a five-pack but increases DC resistance. That makes the cables appropriate for typical patch-cord lengths at Gigabit speeds, but unsuitable for runs that approach the 100 m channel limit or for applications that require the lower voltage drop of solid copper.
