Practical limits of the proprietary pack

The battery uses a Garmin-specific connector and mechanical keying, so it fits only the listed Astro collar models and cannot be swapped with standard cylindrical cells. Charging must be performed through the collar's own dock or cradle; third-party chargers that do not match the original voltage profile can reduce cycle life. Operating or storage temperatures above 60 °C (140 °F) are outside the safe range.
