This 15ft Cat5e patch cable provides a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection for routers, switches, patch panels, keystone jacks, PCs and PoE devices. It is built to the Cat5e standard and tested to 350MHz for reliable signal integrity in structured cabling installations. The gray, non-booted design suits high-density environments such as data centers and server rooms where space is limited.

Non-booted plug for dense patch panels

The non-booted RJ45 connectors lack a molded boot, allowing them to seat easily in tightly packed patch panels and keystone jacks. This design improves airflow around dense cable runs and simplifies cable management in high-density racks. Each plug uses 50-micron gold-plated contacts on 8P8C RJ45 connectors terminated to 4 twisted pairs of 24AWG bare copper conductors.

Check port spacing and category needs

Before ordering, verify that your patch panel or keystone ports have sufficient side-by-side clearance for non-booted plugs in a dense layout. Confirm that Cat5e performance meets the bandwidth requirements of your network infrastructure, as this cable does not support the higher frequencies of Cat6 or Cat6a categories. The cable is unshielded, so assess whether your installation environment requires shielded cabling for interference protection.
