Vehicle-Specific Retrofit Kit

This Brandmotion FDMC-1285 Qi Wireless Charging Kit is a retrofit solution designed for select 2015-2018 GM vehicles. It replaces a factory wireless charger that does not work with iPhone 8 or newer devices and comparable Android phones. The kit integrates directly into the existing wireless charging location and retains the original GM wireless charging mat or cubbie. It plugs into the factory power connector for a direct fit.

Sustained Charging Behaviour

The system delivers 10w fast charging using inductive technology and features smart charging technology that tapers off as the phone reaches full charge. A connection chime sounds when the phone begins to charge, providing audible confirmation. The kit offers a 5mm catch radius for device placement. It is engineered only to work in vehicles where a factory wireless charger was originally installed, ensuring compatibility with the vehicle's existing electrical architecture.

Thermal and Power Integration

Power is drawn directly from the factory connector, matching the vehicle's original electrical specifications without adding external adapters. The unit replaces the original module within the factory cubbie, so it operates within the same thermal envelope as the OEM part.
