Outdoor bullet camera for HD-SDI systems

The Bluecctv Eyemax 4MP EX SDI is a wired bullet camera built for outdoor HD-SDI installations. It uses a 1/2.9 inch Sony IMX-326 CMOS sensor to deliver 4-megapixel resolution over coaxial cable. Motorised auto-focus on the 2.8-12mm vari-focal lens lets installers set the field of view remotely. Six COB infrared LEDs provide illumination when ambient light drops to zero.

HD-SDI coax distance and power constraints

Video travels over a single coaxial run using the High Definition Serial Digital Interface, so cable length and signal attenuation set the practical range. The camera accepts dual power inputs for flexible site wiring, but voltage drop over long runs must be calculated per installation. No network bandwidth or IP addressing is involved, so the link is limited by the coax specification rather than Ethernet switching capacity.

4MP coverage with motorised zoom and IR reach

The 2.8-12mm zoom covers wide-angle overviews and narrower detail views without a ladder revisit. Six COB IR LEDs extend usable footage to 0 lux, though effective range depends on scene reflectance and weather. Wide Dynamic Range and Digital Noise Reduction preserve detail in high-contrast scenes, but extreme backlight or dense fog will exceed the sensor’s dynamic range.
