Black Box Corporation EJ300-0025 phone cable 25 ft coiled RJ-22 gold

25 ft coiled RJ-22 handset cable

This Black Box EJ300-0025 cable connects a telephone handset to its base using RJ-22 plugs on both ends. The 25 ft coiled length provides extended reach while retracting to save desk space. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for reliable signal transfer. Shielded construction helps reduce interference on the line.

Check handset port and cord routing

Verify that both the handset and the base unit use RJ-22 ports before ordering. The coiled design adds bulk compared to a flat cord, so confirm there is enough clearance around the phone for the coil to expand and retract without snagging. The 25 ft length suits distant mounting but may create excess slack on a standard desktop.

Replaces shorter or unshielded handset cords

This cable upgrades from standard short cords that limit handset placement away from the base. The gold-plated, shielded RJ-22 connectors improve durability and noise rejection over basic unshielded leads. The jump is worth it when you need the full 25 ft reach or a more robust connection for a busy office phone.
