Crimping kit with ratcheting pliers, EDM cutting jaws and 14 JST-SM connector types for AWG30-20 wires
This kit supplies 14 different JST-SM connector types plus a ratcheting crimper for AWG30-20 wire. It targets hobbyists and technicians who build or repair custom wiring harnesses for computers, drones or automotive projects. The included tote keeps all pins, housings and the tool organised in one place.
The crimper handles conductors from AWG30 to AWG20 (0.05-0.5mm²) and cuts both conductor and insulation in one stroke. It supports JST XH, SYP, SM 2.5mm, PH 2.0mm, VH 3.96mm, Dupont 2.54mm, KF2510, Micro-Fit 3.0mm, AMP EI series and D-SUB contacts. Connectors outside these pitches or wire gauges cannot be crimped reliably with the supplied dies.
The ratchet mechanism releases only after a full cycle, preventing partial crimps, while the quick-release lever lets you abort a misaligned terminal. Adjust the crimp-height dial before starting a batch; an incorrect setting either crushes the insulation or leaves a loose conductor. Verify pin orientation in the housing before the final click to avoid rework.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The kit includes JST-SM 2.5 mm housings and nickel-plated pins designed for that pitch; select the male or female housing that matches your wire-side or board-side requirement.
It covers conductors from 0.05 mm² to 0.5 mm², so the ratcheting crimper will reliably terminate both fine signal leads and thicker power wires within that span.
The SATA connectors conform to the Serial ATA specification, limiting each crimped contact to the current rating defined by that standard for power and signal lines.
