The Allen Bradley 1734-IB8 is a POINT I/O digital input module that provides eight sinking inputs grouped together for industrial automation systems. DIN-Rail Mounting Considerations

The module mounts on a standard POINT I/O base which clips onto DIN rail, allowing tool-less installation alongside other 1734 series blocks. Wiring uses the base terminal block; ensure sensor outputs match the 2 milliampere minimum on-state current and stay below the 5 volt DC off-state threshold to avoid false signals.

Not for High-Density or Sourcing Applications

Builders needing more than eight inputs per module or sourcing-type input logic should select a different POINT I/O variant. The fixed 1.5 milliampere off-state current and grouped common also limit use where isolated channels are required.
