Alignment and cable considerations

MagSafe magnets pull the iPhone into the optimal coil position automatically, so there is no guesswork when placing the handset. The AirPods case simply rests on the flat Qi surface. A 5 ft USB-C to USB-C cable is included, but the pad requires an external USB-C power source; if your laptop or wall adapter cannot supply sufficient current, charging speed will drop.

Sustained charging behaviour

Under continuous use the pad maintains its rated 15 W phone output and 5 W accessory output without throttling, provided the connected power supply remains stable.
