G1/4 to 1/2" Barb Fitting for Watercooling Loops

This silver adaptor connects standard G1/4" threaded ports to 1/2" inner-diameter tubing. It suits builders assembling custom liquid-cooling circuits who need a reliable transition between component threads and soft tubing. The fitting works as a fill port, drain port or stop fitting in a loop. Buyers requiring metric-threaded ports or smaller tubing diameters cannot use this part.

Hand-Tighten Installation With Optional Clamp

Screw the G1/4" male thread into any matching female port on a reservoir, radiator or block until the O-ring seats. Push the barbed end fully into 1/2" ID tubing; a hose clamp or compression ring is recommended to prevent the tube sliding off under pressure. The most common error is leaving the barb partially inserted, which causes slow leaks once the system is pressurised. No tools are required beyond fingers and, optionally, pliers for the clamp.

Verify Port Thread and Tubing ID Before Ordering

Confirm every component you plan to connect exposes a G1/4" female thread; other thread standards will not seal. Check that your soft tubing specifies a 1/2" inner diameter — larger or smaller bore will not grip the barb correctly. Ensure you have enough clearance around each port for the fitting body and the tubing bend radius. If your loop uses hardline tubing or quick-disconnect couplings, this barb fitting is not compatible.
