This 0.3 m black extension cable connects a 12V-2x6 male plug to a 12VHPWR PCIe Gen5 female socket. It is built for ATX 3.1 power delivery up to 600 W and suits RTX 40-series cards such as the 4070, 4080 and 4090. The 16 AWG tinned copper conductors and alloy copper terminals give a sleek, shielded look with pre-installed combs for tidy routing in compact ITX or ATX builds.

The 16 AWG wire gauge provides efficient current transmission and good heat resistance under sustained 600 W loads. Soldered joints on both connectors reduce resistance and the risk of detachment from bending, keeping voltage drop low and connector temperatures stable. The nylon-sleeved, highly flexible cable runs quietly through tight channels without adding audible vibration or airflow restriction.

Upgrade path and when it matters

This extension replaces a short or stiff factory 12VHPWR lead when the PSU cable cannot reach a recessed GPU socket or when a 90° angle eases side-panel clearance. It also bridges a PSU that only offers PCIe 8-pin outputs by using the original splitter. The jump is worth it when cable length or bend radius prevents a secure, gap-free seat — especially on 4090-class cards — but it is not rated for the extreme power spikes of an RTX 5090.
