The APC AP7968B is a vertical zero-U power distribution unit rated for 208 V input at up to 35 A. It provides twenty-one IEC 320 C13 outlets and three IEC 320 C19 outlets, all switched for remote on/off control. The unit mounts vertically in a rack without consuming horizontal U-space. It suits data-centre racks that need outlet-level power cycling and real-time load monitoring.

Sustained load behaviour with 12.5 kW capacity

At the rated 35 A the PDU delivers 12.5 kW continuously across its twenty-four locking receptacles. Current metering reports real-time aggregate and per-outlet draw, letting administrators set alarms before a circuit approaches its limit. Power-sequencing delays stagger equipment start-up to prevent inrush overloads. The operating envelope covers minus five to forty-five degrees Celsius and five to ninety-five percent relative humidity at elevations up to three thousand metres.

Verify that the facility provides a 208 V single-phase feed protected by a 35 A breaker and that the three-foot input cord reaches the source. Confirm the rack has vertical mounting space for a zero-U chassis and that the included toolless brackets match the rail profile. Ensure connected equipment uses C13 or C19 plugs; no other outlet types are present. The management interfaces require an IP address reachable from your network for Web, SNMP, CLI or Telnet access.
